The Rotary Kettlebell Slam- Kettlebell Training for MMA?

“…A Kettlebell Training Exercise Video by Martin Rooney…”

My good friend Martin Rooney of Training for Warriors is back with another version of the Kettlebell Slam. Only this time there’s a little twist, literally.

Have fun with this kettlebell exercise. Take it slow and remember, “Happy Feet are Fast Feet.”

Sorry, I can’t remember who came up with that kettlebell training proverb.

  1. WOW! That is crazy awesome and intense! I know what I am trying out today!!

  2. I am, as another fitness guy has said, a 52 y/o “washed up meathead”, but I can still get out there and make my wife think I am totally insane, and have a resting heart rate under 40 to show for it it. I have added the first exercise in this series to my regimen, and man, does it feel good! I will be sure to do these two also, although I am wondering if I can do the squatting one with my 32 kg bell. I love the creativity! Throwing around heavy weight is really fun.

In Pavel’s Enter the Kettlebell, he explains Quick feet are Happy feet.

  4. Jeff Martone came up with that phrase

  5. Jeff Martone it is!

This is confirmed not only by Dave Randolph but by other incoming emails.

  7. That looks awesome!

  8. WOW! At first I thought “No Way”, then ….(to Saraphim), as a fellow 52 year old, mom of three…..With a lighter kettle bell, I can do this! …and have my husband join me!
    Thanks Jason!

  9. Haha.. those exercises are awesome! Gotta find a good sandy beach or grassy area to do some slams on. Great stuff.
