Calling All Kettlebell Geeks…
During our Kettlebell Training Certifications and workshops I always talk to people about some contra-indications for kettlebell training, how to work around injuries and the carry-over one limb has to the other. Some sources report up to 30%!
That’s why there is never any excuse to not do something. Here’s an awesome video of Catherine Imes, a great kettlebell competitor and coach.
Catherine is jerking a 28kg or 62lb kettlebell. As she fatigues watch her non-working arm start to contribute more and more. Watch the entire video through. On her second arm the non-working arm is almost going through the entire movement in unison.
Also, make sure to check out her grip on the non-working side. There’s no way around it, the other side wants to contribute.
I love the human body and human movement. Finding little gems like this warms my little heart. Yes, I’m a geek but these things are to be considered when discussing training, performance and rehab.
